K9 Autumn

Fall season has arrived! One of the best season for both the owners and their companions. Orange, yellow, and brilliant red leaves lay across the trails of any dog park. The long dreary hot summer has turned into a brisk, chilly and sunny mornings. Many events such as the largest dog show in Canada will be held at the Tradex in Abbostsford, BC. The Lower Mainland Dog Fanciers of BC is scheduled for October 28, 29, 30 and 31st. And of course, the one we’ve all been waiting for, Cesar Millan will be in Richmond’s River Rock Casino on October, 27th for the evening show! He will later return to Richmond on November 11th at the Terra Nova’s Bosley’s at 12pm. Don’t forget, the first 100 people in line will be able to meet Cesar Millan. All pets welcome!

Apollo

Sometimes a stroll in our local dog park can bring up interesting stories. This gentle giant also known as “Apollo” just lays around the park while the other dogs are running about. He’s pretty standoffish… Can you guess what breed Apollo is?

Faith and loyalty is often discovered in Man’s Best Friend. Such fidelity was found between this charming young man, Marc and his Pug, Edgrr. Yes it’s spelled Edgrr. The powerful sunset near their home made it a tranquil evening for all. Near the end of our session, both Marc and Edgrr sat peacefully watching over the sun’s grand final exit…

Canine & Yoga

Yoga, dog and sunset. What better way to get into your spiritual self with your best friend? The popularity of “Doga” comes natural to dogs from their mental tranquility, ability to be in the moment, and concentration. A good friend, Colleen Lamothe has let me shoot a small session with her 6 years old, female Chocolate Labrador Retriever, “Belle” You may find her on Twitter as @ccolleen The evening sunset at the Capital Hill turned out to be a beautiful relaxing session for all of us. Belle was probably the most relaxed and happy canine I’ve ever worked with. Thanks to both of you!

Happy Earth Day

Recently people are more concern about products that would save our earth. Earth Day has dog owners looking for more ways to help save our earth with our pooches. I’ve had a great chance to work with EcoPup Dog Clothing and Flora & Fauna Designs. Both designers based in Vancouver, BC have a deep love for the natural beauty in our world. Here is “Bitta” a fabulous model for Ecopup. She belongs to Pauline Siu of Flora & Fauna Designs. Was delightful working with her!

Bitta is a 1 & half year old Chow Chow/Labrador female rescued from K911 in Alabama, USA. She is cautious like a Chow Chow but very affection like a Labrador Retriever. Bitta loves to snuggle with her two cats at home and stroll on long trails in our beautiful British Columbia!

Chutney is my first dog. She is the most friendly 6 yrs. old Labrador Retriever I’ve ever met. Like most Labs she is full of energy and constantly on the go! Chutney has taught our family the true meaning of life.

This is Atka, he came to me at the age of 6 months. Such a sweet German Shepherd and full of mischief! He loves to swim and play fetch with his older sister Chutney, a Chocolate Labrador Retriever. I have no problem shooting portraits with this fella. He’s a natural! Just loves being in front of the camera.
